Project
The most unique project of its kind in Grand Rapids, Factory Yards will become a place to live, along with a hub for entertainment, retail, culture, and culinary exploration – all coming together in the name of community and local economic growth. A $150 million, 15-acre mixed-use development, Factory Yards will embrace history, retaining what’s special and storied about this property.
Over the decades, 655 Godfrey has been a place where things were made. Furniture for homes and businesses. Parachutes for WW2. Springs and wires for the auto industry to keep America moving. History was made here, too. This was one of the first factories to hire women, not just in Grand Rapids but anywhere. That’s the reason for the name Factory Yards. To honor that past. And build on it.
